NCC | Bharathi College





NCC is a non-commercial National Organization in India. It was born on 16th of April 1948 through NCC Act 31, 1948. Presently, there are 13.5 lakhs of cadets are enrolled in our India. It engaging the youth “The Leaders of Tomorrow” into disciplined and patriotic citizens.   In our esteemed Institution, the NCC was started in 1974 and has an Army Wing   with one full Company strength of 160 cadets – Boys – 107, Girls – 53. This unit is headed by Major. Dr.S.Shivaswamy, who is awardee of Karnataka State Chief Minister’s “COMMENDATION CARD” for his valuable  service in NCC. It is running under 13 Kar. Bn. NCC, Mysore Group, Karnataka and Goa Directorate.

 There are three cadets attended RDC camp namely:


One cadet attended BLC camp namely JUO ANTONY and 6 cadets selected for National Games. All these camps were conducted by DG NCC held at New Delhi. NCC unit regularly conducting training on  NCC organization, Drill, weapon Drill, Firing,  Leadership Development, Map Reading and Personal Hygiene.  In every year about 50 cadets selected for Centrally organized National Level Camps like  NIC, Trek, Mountaineering, BLC, RCTC etc.,

In addition to above military related training, our NCC unit conducting  some social activities like Blood Donation and Eye pledging Camps in association with Medical Association, Bangalore; MIMS, Mandya; Red Cross, Mandya and Rotary club of Bharathinagara. Awareness programmes – eradication of Polio, Illiteracy, Aids, Terrorism, Anti – Dowry system, Seedling plantation etc., through Cycle Expedition were conducting every year.

In every year  NCC actively involving  in conducting of “FREE HEALTH CHECKUP & EYE CAMP”  in our campus under the aegis of Dr. G. Madegowda  Prathistana. Our NCC unit  inaugurated National program “SWACHA BHARATH” – on 25 .12. 2014. Our NCC cadets ever year contributing about Rs.8000=00 & send through DD to HRD, New Delhi for orphans (National Program).  Our cadets Cpl.GR. Shruthi awarded National Level merit Scholarship from Cadets Welfare Society of Rs. 5000/-  and Sgt. Manju awarded Rs. 15,000/- by Sahara Group.
