The Bharathi Education Society which subsequently became the Bharathi Education Trust has its headquarters at BET campus, Bharathinagara, MaddurTaluk, Karnataka. It was founded in 1962 by Sri G. Madegowda, the honourable ex-member of parliament and former minister, Govt. of Karnataka. It is aimed at fulfilling all the educational, cultural, social and other aspirations of the people in and around Bharathinagara, which was then a small hamlet of no significance.
Sri G. Madegowda is the Founder Chairman of the Trust and his sincere, unrelenting efforts have led to the establishment of several institutions at Bharathinagara, Hanumanthanagara and Kirugavalu under the auspices of B.E.T. The founder secretary of the Trust late Sri AnnurS.Siddegowda was also instrumental in setting up several institutions run by the Trust. The B.E.T. is now managed by trustees.
