About Chemistry Department

Teaching programmes

Established in 2008 - 09. Permanently affiliated to the University of Mysore, Reaccreditedby NAAC with 'A' grade.The department offers M.Sc. Chemistry , Organic Chemistry and Ph.Dcourses, University of Mysore, has recognized, department Chemistry as research center with effect from 2013-14, to undertake research leading to Ph.D. Master's Programmes where the 50% of students are selected through universityand 50% were selected by management with university entrance exam.

Our M.Sc graduates are routinely placed at the best institutions including our own and have been inducted as faculty and scientists at prominent academic and research institutions worldwide with many coveted distinctions to their credit.

The department has brought out an International journal titled "International Research Journal of Applied Sciences" (ISSN: 2348-9022). Departmental Statistics

5. Department of Chemistry granted four minorresearch project UGC and VGST.
6. Department of Chemistry granted Minor research Project, UGC/MRP, Rs. 4, 90,000/ (2016- 2018)
7. The final M.Sc. Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, undergoing the projet work leading to publication.

Achievements of Alumni

Nandish. S, M. Sc Organic Chemistry 2012-14 batch, secured 1st rank in the University of Mysore with gold medal. Presently working as Scientist, Biocon, Bangalore.

Vishwanath, M. Sc Organic Chemistry 2008-10 batch, cleared UGC-CSIR exam .Presently in IIT Chennai as Research candidate.

Sowmya.N.S, M. Sc Chemistry 2012-14 batch, secured two gold medal from the University of Mysore

Pramodh.H.R, M. Sc Chemistry 20011-13 batch, cleared UGC-CSIR exam . Pursuing his Ph,D.

Pallavi. M. Sc Organic Chemistry 2014-15 batch, secured 1st rank in the University of Mysore with two gold medal.
