About Physics Department

Welcome to Postgraduate Department of Physics at our college. Course was started from the academic year 2011-12. Nuclear Physics is offered as specialization subject. In the year 2013, Physics Department was recognized as Research Center by University of Mysore. The Department has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated staff. Teachers are involved in teaching as well as research and have published more than 80 research papers in international and national peer reviewed Journals with SCI and good impact factor. The Department is active throughout the year by organizing technical talks/hosting science exhibitions/Research lab visit which gives practical exposure to the students. We committed to continuous improvement of quality education through enhancement of the staff and students potential.

• To provide students with state of art knowledge in physics to equip students to compete globally.
• To develop sensitivity among students, to contribute to the betterment of society through knowledge in physics.

M.Sc. Physics Graduate can get jobs in Research Laboratories, academic and education institution, IT field and Technological field, Atomic and Space organisation, Meteorology Departments and Medical Industry, also can work as Research Scientist, Lecturer/Professor, Medical Physicist, Radiation Physicist, etc.
