About Commerce and Management Department

The Department of Commerce (B.Com) has been established in the year 1972 and The Management (BBM., now BBA) course started in 2007. Master of Commerce course commenced from the year 2010 for imparting Commerce education. It has produced excellent Graduates and Post Graduates year after year and encourages students for self-employment as Tax Consultants, Auditors and Accountant for securing good jobs in the Government departments and also in private companies, MNC’s etc. The Department is continuously engaging in overall development of Students, Faculties and as well as college goodwill.

For every progressive semester years, our department conducting meetings to discuss various issues like plan of action, time table, industry visits, campus interview, remedial classes, education trip, demo classes and eminent professors guest talks. Also teaching aids using while in classrooms like projector for Seminars, viva, project work, skill development activities.

From last 50 years of our journey in the commerce department has achieved many achievements in the various fields of Faculty and Students. Details are given below:

Commerce Forum :

On our Chairman motivation we started Commerce Forum on Feb, 2018, among our campus Commerce Fraternity from PU department to PG departments. The objective of this forum is every commerce faculties assemble every Saturday after 1:30PM to discuss with current issues and trends about commerce and trade.

Commerce Lab:

First time in the University of Mysore affiliated Colleges, we started Commerce Lab for the benefit of staff and students. The Lab Activities helps the students to know more about the field of Commerce and also keep them updated with recent practices in the business world. Commerce Lab provides practical exposure of the processes and procedures followed by organizations in conducting commercial practices. Charts, Models, Magazines prepared by students are displayed for the benefit of all.
